PHOTOSHOP DESIGNS

In this class we spent a while exploring photoshop. The first few assignments focused on simply exploring photoshop and getting used to the photoshop comands. My favorite of these beginner projects was exploring the clipping mask.

CLIPPING MASK

For one of the first images we focused on creating a clipping mask. The clipping mask allowed us to make it seem as if an image of grapes were inside of a vase. This was the result:

CHARLESTON LANDMARK AND ARCHITECTURE

The next assignment was two phases. The first phase we took photos around Chalarleston. We took at least 10 photographs. We were to focus on a certain category such as architecture, people, the fine arts, popular attraction, or College of Charleston scenes. Personally, I focued on photographs of my life in Charleston.

The second phase of this project involved touching up photos to represent Charleston in the best light. We were to use retouching techniques to clean up any graffiti, trash, or other distractions, that are visible in the images as well as use correction techniques to adjust the tonal range and gray balance of the images.

Below I put Three of my favorite images
